Also, is there a big difference in plant there vs here meaning will I have to take courses to learn all the stuff out there?

There's a lot of commonality. SA and common Bermuda were most popular. But that was 20 years ago. I'm sure much has changed. I think there a fewer hacks due to the cost of living. Even the illegals tended to stay on the farms. We used Sarlos and Yazoo's. Biggest mower was a 36 belt drive that hardly got used.
