Sucker growth

So one of my properties has over 60 Crape Myrtles 30 gallon size planted in 2009. The growth at the base is a constant problem and every week we go in and hand prune the base to maintain a neat appearance but its quite time consuming. I was wondering if any of you guys have a sucker control that you reccomend.

Monterey Sucker Stopper. If it is legal in Florida. Otherwise, I have burnt off suckers from trees and shrubs with a propane torch or weed burner.

Sounds like a lot of work and dangerous... the bazooka works faster.

Alternatively, you can always snap them off.

I didn't realize they moved the Political Forum to make it part of the Florida Forum. As always your in put of sharing Green Industry knowledge is rather unique. The Bazooka for controlling Sucker growth Idea sounds like a winner for the next episode of "Son of a Gun" on Discovery channel.
