Ok so I'm looking to get a grand to 1700 for it does that seem about right?
Also how badly will simple cosmetic damage effect the price, like scratched paint?

Scratched paint as long as it is only on some of the deck. Ie(the left side of the deck or trim side) it shouldn't hurt the price too bad I'd do 1700 obo.

It's more a mix of smudged white paint on top of the red
Paint of the deck. It's a 48 inch deck and the doorway
Of our shed is probably a couple centimeters bigger then
48 inches so it's a tight squeeze

If it's really noticeable you could get some Exmark red spray paint at a Exmark dealer.

Post a few pics and everyone can give you a better idea of the value. Don't worry too much about some scratched paint. These types of mower are utilitarian built. Also, note some of the other post..make sure that this is something you are allowed to be selling so as to avoid any problems.

I am allowed to sell it, I wasn't to sure how to sell it so I just threw it up on my local Craigslist for 1700 obo and have a few people coming to look at it on the weekend.
