Take it from me, wear a mask chopping/blowing leaves..

Good Lord, after 2 big leaf days I am sick as a dog with sinuses. Sore throat, runny nose, and sneezing like crazy. Needless to say, I stopped by Lowe's last night and got a ten pack of 3M 8511 respirator masks. They will be on my face from here on out.

I thought I was immune to allergens/mold....HA I was wrong.

leaves

Always, always use a mask when mulching leaves. There is a fungus that grows on the under, moist side of em that can kill you.

Wear eye protection too!! As well as ear protection.

Between blowing and running the truck loader, I am exposed to lots of dust. I am fine most of the time. I just blow out some black boogies and keep on going. I take some claritin if I really need it. Some people are more sensitive than others.

Any info on that fungus? I'd like to research it.
