QXpress or Real Green
I am looking to purchase software to track production and streamline billing. Also looking to rapidly grow fertilization customers.
Currently have 350 weekly mowing accounts and 75 fert accounts. I only use quickbooks now. I am looking into qxpress and real green and want advise. we are a full service landscape company. |

screw qx. I was a very long time customer - first one ever in their referral program. They hung me out to dry and locked me out of my program when I switched to service assistant after demoing their qx plat/enterprise. I flat told them it doesnt do a fraction of what I want to upgrade to.
Real green is the way to go if you want to focus on lawn apps. If you use it correctly, you will be amazed. We grew lawn app client count over 100% last year and expect to exceed 1000 clients in 2012. We were barely doing apps when we started using real green.

I use to be a lawnmonkey user years ago until their software didn't work with windows xp. They wanted what I felt was to much money for their keep me up to date program. I wasn't about to pay for the whole program again.
I'm on the search again for another program, I just noticed that qx is changing their platform to web-base or to the cloud and longer offering lawnmonkey. Not that I would go back to this same company after what I went thru with them but I don't think I like the idea of having my data in the cloud. I'm demoing a sponsor from here, grounds keeper. It is so outdated looking and can use some updating. If they did I probably buy the software. |

I have been using QX for years, but have never used it to its full capabilities. Mainly for scheduling three irrigation service techs per day. I am looking this winter into new options as well, and Hindsite is one that I hope to demo. I believe they are a sponsor here on LS. http://www.hindsitesoftware.com/

When you call tech support, you need to have a very good explanation of what you want your end result to be. Alot of times, im asking for things they have not done before and actually have to find a solution working with their test data.
