echo srm210 starting issues
have a echo srm210 (grey string trimmer) that starts fine and runs pretty good. late last season i noticed it started shutting off randomly when being used. most of the time it restarted right after no problem, other times id have to wait a half hour to get it started. i did a general look over and couldnt find anything wrong, brought it to the dealer. dealer left it running at idle for and hour and everything is happy. they suggested it maybe a coil but not sure until they took it apart. ive noticed it only shuts of when being used, any ideas??

Find another Echo dealer! They let it run at idle for an HOUR instead of hooking up the PET4000 coil tester that every Echo dealer must have to do warranty repairs and in 5mins to tell you if your coil is faulty or not. Let us know what happens....

Put that baby on the bench and tie it down and run it wide open and when it fails check for spark. Pretty easy in a dark garage to see spark. And to baby it along sometimes you can take a blower and cool them down to get them to work.
