Constant pressure AVB along with other goodies to replace.
Gotta replace backflow and controller to start.
I actually have the parts to fix that old wye type valve if it doesn't work anymore.
Figured that the AVB check was stuck and sure enough it was.

If it is SOP, and approved by your local water districts and building codes, I don't see why there is anything wrong with it.
