RedMax Oil?

Any other 2-cycle fully syntethic oil suitable for the 4-mix engines that y'all are using and works great?

Just trying to get some more responses so I know what to use

Get a commercial account with Amsoil! It costs nothing and you can buy at dealer cost! That's what I have and it reduces the prices quite a bit. They ship from warehouses located all over the US, and I'd bet they have warehouses in Canada as well. The warehouse I get mine from is about 45 minutes away and just up the road from my walker dealer actually. I just order when I'm planning a trip there for something.

Their site is fine to deal with, I've ordered from them half a dozen times at least. Always pay through the website, whether I pick it up or have it shipped. I use Amsoil in all my mowers and trucks. It DOES make a difference. I don't do their crazy long oil change intervals though. I know they say it's not necessary to change the oil more often than even 10,000 miles, but I just won't do it. I'd rather have piece of mind that I have fresh oil.

We have been using the full synthetic from Baileys. No problems, burns clean and fairly priced. I think

I have used both. Years a go I started only using the Red Max oil in my EBZ 8050 blowers as well as in my Red Max trimmer because thats what the warranty requires. That and at least 89 octane fuel, I always use 91+ just because. Last time I went to get oil the dealership was out of the Red Max so I used the Stihl and was impressed. I think the machines run a little free'er and I can vouch that the machines have less of an exhaust smell with the Stihl oil. My clothes reek of 2-stroke exhaust when I use the Red Max stuff!

Still, sometimes when I have extra race fuel left over from my go-kart I'll run it through my equipment. 110 octane leaded fuel with Motul oil baby!

In the end, I think the Red Max oil leaves more carbon build up as opposed to the Stihl. I have yet to try Amsoil but from what I have read I am interested in it for sure.

I have always used the Redmax oil too. I've never noticed a problem or lingering smells. Maybe I should try using something different in one to see if there is a difference?

Try the HP Ultra, or Amsoil. With the Stihl HP, I never see any smoke unless one of my machines are started cold, and at lower temps. The smell is also much, much less than with std Stihl orange bottle oil or other brands of oil including some semi synthetics that I've tried.

With Amsoil mixed at 80:1, or 100:1 there's so little oil in the fuel mix as to be almost undetectable in smoke or smell, yet it is guaranteed to work at that ratio.

Sorry to wake this thread up but, I wanted to let you guys know that I ended up buying Amsoil INTERCEPTOR synthetic 2-cycle oil.
I was really happy that I could finally find an Amsoil dealer! He also gave me a really good deal: $10.00 for one quart. Regular price was 12.00 dollars.
