Thanks alot for all the ideas and you all have helped me get my wheels turning a little more in the right direction. Does the google map really get you that close? Im going to look into that. Also I am going to mention on the bid that there mulch was put down a little to thick last time and turning the mulch is the best with a little touch up of fresh on top to keep things looking right. I am going today to check out a blower and get the run down on that option.

you're estimating that at 4yds/man hour which is pretty darn fast doing all of the spreading by hand. Finn will tell you that their bark blowers have a 10 yards/hour production rate, but we've found it's actually closer to 6 yards/hour. With two men operating the bark blower, that works out to 3 yards/man hour.

I can't give you any input on the mulch prices, but you should definitely try to negotiate as low as you can get it.
