Got a box truck, built a dovetail

Awesome work. I have been working on mine for the last month. What size tubing is that? 2x3 inch? How thick? 1/8?

Yes it is 2 x 3 x 1/8. I thought about using channel or something else but I really like the 2 x 3.

I agree...ours is flat mesh and it's dangerous...either add a railing or a pull rope so you can safely enter/exit truck. I've slipped and fell many times on ours.

I'm going to try this...ours has expanded metal and diamond plate...both are very slick.

You are going to need a flat gusset where the tubing attaches to truck for the top rail...it will break at the stress point (our did).I'll get a picture today of ours so you will know what I'm talking about.
