Pond vacs

What brand and any details on the type of pond vacs being used for just basic home cleanouts and heavy maintenance.

Why pay up to $400.00 for a "Pond Vac" with a 3 year warranty when you can get a "Shop Vac" of the same capacity for a little over $100.00 with a 5 year warranty?

I thought about that but how can you make one into a circulating vac? I would be emptying my shop vac every 5 minutes.

Do a little research on the Shop Vac website. The model that I use can actually be used as a pump, albeit at very low gph. A short cut that I sometimes use is to have my clean-out solids handling pump handy and just set it down into the Shop Vac canister and pump the canister out.
