Ditchwitch SK650
I am looking at a 2005 Sk650 that has 1400 hours. The machine looks to be in great shape. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the best) I would have to give the machine a 7. He is asking $13,500 which seems pretty high to me with that many hours. Do any of you know what this machine would be worth?

I personally think it's over-priced.
2 years ago when I got my Vermeer with 500 hours, through the dealer, I spent $9500.00 on a gas unit. At the time a comparable diesel unit through the dealer was around $12,000 With 1500 hours I would think you could find a comparable unit for 10k or less. Though some would argue it's not as good of machine as the SK650, to expand your options, call a Vermeer dealer a test out the S600TX or S650TX. They generally have used units that were rentals and tend to sell them off around 500 hours or more. .....

supply and demand--there are few if any used ditch witch sk650's on the market--my dealer gets none in trade
-they hold their value well -very few on the used market -19,500 for a new one--yes I think 13,500 is high -If you are set on used the better deals will be found on other brands |

Thanks! Do you guys feel that I should be worried about the 1400 hours the machine has on it? Any idea on the expected hour life of this machine if it is maintained and cared for?
