leaking pump oil through breather tube

I have a cat pressure washer that started leaking oil badly from the oil vent tube(attached to the filler cap on top of the pump. I refilled and suspended the tube higher then the pump itself so oil wouldn't pour out. This made it worse and the entire pump emptied withing 5 minutes of use.
I'm lost as to why this is happening. Any suggestions?

[Pressure Washing Cleve]

The only time I've seen that happen is when I over-filled it. It would onlyleak till it hit the right mark. It wouldn't keep running out completely when I pressure washed.
