A valve adjustment should take care of that problem.

Right at 2600 and getting ready to rebuild due to it using oil and a blowen head gasket.

haven't been able to get more than 1500 hrs out of a 17hp kawi before burning up a head(4 different engines over 10 yrs). I change oil and filter every 100 hrs Air filter 200 hrs.

13 HP Kaw 10 yrs no hr meter, Its got to be every bit of 3000 hrs Plus. Oil changes every 50 hrs, filter every 100. Wal mart oil BTW. Its Getting weak now.
