Really liking mid-late fall Milorganite app

Looking at a couple lawns for which I applied Milorganite mid October last year (including my own) at 1 lb N/K. I am really liking how those lawns look coming out of winter. Though still mostly dormant, my lawn has a much better 'dormant green' look than other lawns around me. Same for some of my customer's lawns. Anyone else see this?

I would do this wholesale for everyone for last app but price is prohibitive and you have to haul so much material (like 3 times as much). But man I can see the results....

Great to hear. A 50# bag covers 3K at a pound at my cost that would be 2.83/K. That's almost double my budget for a lawn app. My lawns do get it in my mix on two of the four apps I do. Most of that pound app will pay big dividends this summer in the heat and humidity on your lawn. I know this from years of tissue testing for a major PGA tour stop that I was a consultant at. They used Mil as a dormant feed every year that messed up their greens the follow summer. Terrible for greens that need to roll 13 but great for everything else!

Where do you get your milorganite from so cheap? We get it wholesale at our garden center and it is not that cheap, $8.50 a bag.

Questions - are there any semi-organic mix products out there that have Mil + synthetic fert in the bag? Perhaps that would save some cost and volume?

JDL has a combo with biosolids. Not sure if that has the same goodies as Mil though.

I'm guessing a lot of the color you are seeing today are from the goodies.

I finally got the answer I was looking for. I have to pay at whoelsale- 11.28 per 50# bag of milorganite. I pay more than you simply because of freight.
