Solo Operator - Max Revenue?
This question is for all the solo operators on here. What would be a fair amount of revenue to expect as a maximum for a solo operator?
I am a solo operator and this year I should make around $30,000 to $35,000 give or take some (hopefully more give than take).

my first year solo i made around $30k. my second year i made about $60k. this year i hope to make around $80k. all by myself except for some bigger non mowing jobs, then i hire a buddie or have my gf help.
About how many accounts do you have?

I have 10 decent sized commercial accounts and a few residentials. I am hoping to pick up more residentials this year.

Is your 30k gross or net? if its gross i would think you would make more with 10 commercial accounts.

In the end I don't feel like there is a max you just have to figure out ways over time to make more $$ per hour

OP just warning you these types of 'how much do you make' threads tend to get more and more inflated with hot air as they drag on.....

I agree with DA Quality ... These threads have populated this board for years, and they are funny to read. Clearly much of the posted information is just hot air. I am sure I am like others who have been around here for years, discounting most of what is posted in these, or any other "what do you make" threads.

The sky (amount) is the limit. Depends on the accounts and the number of hours you are willing to work. If you don't mind working from daybreak to dark your income is limitless.

In most areas with about 8 months of seasonal growth, solo operators are limited to about 40,000 max. Leaf removal and snow can push this up some.Keep in mind that gross revenues will be about another 33% higher. Most people claiming to be making more are not tracking the true cost of being in business.
