what to do about watering when a customer wants fertilizer

When you guys have customers who want you to fertilize their lawn, what do you do about watering it in? I'm talking about the weed and feed kind that you put in a spreader. Do you just apply the fertilizer and then just call it done and not worry about it? Is the yard really going to burn up and you don't water it in? I don't think this one customer I have even has water hoses.

will the yard burn if you apply fertilizer and just wait for the next time it rains for it to get washed into the yard?

When is the best time to apply Bonus S?
Scotts Bonus S may be Applied anytime during the growing season when weeds are actively growing in the lawn.

If temperatures are above or expected to exceed 85 degrees F, lightly water product in to remove product from grass blades to avoid potential stress on the lawn.

Does Bonus S need watered in?
Scotts Bonus S should be applied to a dry grass blade and then watered in heavily afterward.

If the temperatures are going to exceed 80 F, be sure to water the product in immediately.

But, I kinda like the idea of napping during the day. Might be a bad image though clinet shows up while I'm sleeping in their hammock.
