Spray gun tips (oil based sealent)

Hello,

I am using an oil based sealing machine and I have some spray gun/spray tips questions.

How does one distinguish a top quality spray gun or tip (name, brass, ceramic....etc)?

What are the signs of knowing when I may need to upgrade/replace a spray gun?

What are the signs of needing a new spray tip?
