Many people on here don't like to bill monthly. I have been billing monthly since I first started with 5-10 lawns. I have only 3-4 customers that pay per biweekly service.
I send an invoice with a return envelope already addressed inside. Makes everything SOOO much easier. Only have 3-4 late payers.

Like most we bill at the end of the month for mowing and for clean ups/gutter cleanings/landscaping jobs and other non mowing work payment is due at completion of project. Been considering also accepting payments via PayPal as alot of folks would rather charge it than write a check or pay cash. Plus, you can have it automatically deposited in your checking account.

@Hoosier - I offer payment via paypal merchant services on my website and have been quite happy. Only a handful of customers use it and it does take about 4% off the top in fees etc but it does come in handy for customers who are very busy and not home much or on vacation etc. I would say if you switched to that as you main preferred payment, you might want to be mindful and somehow raise prices a tad.
