Our Pond

Complete re do of a pond. feedback appreciated!

Besides the obvious changes to the waterfall and general clean-up, what else was done? Different flow rate?. Additional filtration/bioconversion? Changed depth/greater capacity? Details, need details.

We added a skimmer, plumbing, a new filter, new liner, brought in the pond a good two feet, and re worked the stone so it looks natural. Thanks for the post

I have to be honest but it almost looks the same, I would have brought some boulders, plants closer to the stream, have the stream in different direction.
For me it looks better but not inproved mho

Was that 45 mil rubber liner or PVC? Looks awful shiny.

It was the 45 super thick and we use a lot of it

What, pray tell, is "45 super thick"? 45 mil EPDM is 45 millimeters thick.... period. Although EPDM is available in 60 mil., it is rarely used because of the added weight and difficulty in handling and shaping. Polyethylene and polypropylene liner has a shiny surface,

I don't think that LA knows Brian Helfrich or some of the other talented people that inspire me to build ponds

Huge difference between an average 'man' and a craftsman. But that does appear to be fabricated rock in that photo. Still, excellent design.
