Brick Edging
I have never done brick edging before only dirt edges. A customer of mine wants me to lay brick edging on the side of her house. She has all the bricks just have to make beds & place them. Only 1 brick high & i will put mulch in the beds. My question is how much do you charge for brick edging labor? i will have myself and my brother working on this.

It's basic labour. Charge your hourly labour rate.

Charging premium prices for novice work is a killer for your reputation and future growth of your business... Look at the job... figure out what it's worth... then do an excellent job at it, learning things as you go along...
Your next hire will be a little better... good luck...

Yeah i know i have been off on doing estimates this year. I usually do $35.00 for basic labor with 2 people. I am getting into more landscape work this year so that's why i am off with estimates. The job should take 8-9 hours. Making a landscape bed 3 ft out from the house. placing a 1 layer brick edge. will have to rototiller the dirt in the bed. Plant some boxwood's & lay 3 yards of gravel.

rototill inside the beds to turn over grass/chop it up. Than i would put black fabric down to help prevent weeds. I think it would be better if i turned over all the grass before i put the black fabric down... i would use stones instead of mulch that's what the customer wants low maintenance..

Price sounds good but you definitely want to make sure you do it right for referral reasons. Do not want to get a bad rep for novice work like someone else mentioned
