Another option for your drainage is to have a planting bed between where the patio ends, and the caps of your retaining wall. You would then install a french drain at the edge of your patio to catch the run off and pipe it out to daylight through the wall or wherever works for you.
I always avoid putting drains in the middle of a patio unless I have no other choice, and the planting bed softens up the patio going straight to a drop off from the retaining wall.
