So this is how they used to do it.

Looks like they just dumped the bricks and told them to go to town.

Got the pic from the New York photo archive. The digitized all the photos and made them accessible on-line.

Pretty neat seeing some of the old photos.

Im only 21 but I have always had a dream of living back in the beggining of the 19th centuary. That generation saw so much cool stuff, like the first cars, airplanes, ex.ex.ex. its awesome to think hwo they lived back in wihtout cell phones and tv's. It was also such a inoccent tranquale and peaceful (within community) time.

FYI...1900's was the 20th century.

My grt grt grandfather came from Italy in 1909 & was brick/cement mason. I look at some the histoic buildings wondering if he had his hands on them. Cool pic!
