Yes........

YES is one of the handful words billy can say and we usually begin with YES and move along. last evening from out of nowhere OK snuck out!

just as billy is getting down and depressed a word comes from out of the attic and by golly his mood swings positive. the rest is the same only different, still no talking but he is getting stronger and you can tell the mind is strong and sharp. he's a good guy and i am proud to call him my friend.

Yes, we have no bananas. We have no bananas today.
Glad to hear that Billy is improving.
He's really blessed to have you as a friend.

That's awesome jim!!!! I hope he gets better! It's sad that life can be taken away from wonderful people like this

My step grandpa had a stroke in the 70's. He lives in oregon. All he can say is Yes, No, Sh*t, Damn, Boy, and Shetoo.. He always says " Ya Shetoo shetoo"

On the same side subject.

My friend Samantha who had brain surgery last october is improving. She was in the hospital for 118 days. She can somewhat talk . most of her short term memory is gone. I'm glad she remembers me though. She's was a beautiful 26 year old with her life already set with the surgery hit. Now her life has completely flipped around. I try to support her as much as I can

played rough sports all my life and somehow just got lucky, lots of my friends didn't.

i am the only person outside the fam that calls or tries to communicate with bill. he even has friends in the glendale area that have not even called once much less stop by to say hey.

a few of our forum members help with donations from time to time though, i thank them from the bottom of my heart.

you learn a lot about a dog when you have a fallen friend. best of luck with samantha mitch, sounds like she needs a bunch

Yeah life can be cruel Mitch.
Good to hear Billy is making a little progress. You find out who your real friends are when things like this happen. It amazes me how people can just abandon their friends in tough times. It shows how self centered some people are, but also shows how unselfish many people can be. You are a good man Jim.

billy just skyped me, i met his stepson allen who really seemed to love bill.

allen sat beside bill with his arm around him and talked like a young man instead of a kid. billy looked really good, wish i could say more.
