Pricing!

What do you think I should charge for laying sod. There is no tilling or preperation involved all I have to do is go get it and lay it down. It's a small area probably half of a pallet. Its also easy access to the yard. Let me know I would appreciate any advice.

The price will be different for each individual. But to calculate your price just add up your cost of materials, supplies and payroll. Then add in what you need to cover your overhead for your business expenses, and finally add in what you want to make for profit.

Only you know what all these costs are, so only you can actually come up with the final price. But many people will help you with the calculations. There are also many threads on pricing with this very information. The Search feature will bring up lots of more in depth pricing calculations than I provided.

I'd figure 50 cents a sq ft for install only (a pallet of KGB here is 500 sq ft)
If youre buying sod - cost of sod & tax x 1.2
pick up at turf farm $60
