Update
well they finally got their act together and figured out what they wanted. They are applying for grant money from the county so the county provided these plans. they will also come out to inspect the project and if it is not to their specs they don't pay out. the two maps join they are on the north and south sides of a road. any thoughts?

Steel pipe w/ ductile, bolted fitting's where it cross's the road. Major thrustblock's at all bend's and end's.

Kind of hard to tell without reading the specs.

How are you going to cross the road ? If a public road a permit will probably be required, which means that portion of the work will be subject to inspection. Surety bond to cover any damage to the road whether you bore or do an open cut may be required as part of the permit process.

What specs? This is our favorite County in the NE to bash, after all.
Unless there is some paperwork we've not seen, they've taken "design/build" to a whole new level!

well they finally pulled the trigger on part of this project. we will be installing the north side of the system this fall. It will be 2000' of 6" and 1200' of 4". should be a nice job for the end of the year between blow outs.
speaking of blow outs someone needs to start a winterizing thread for this year. |
