Grub Control
When is the best time to apply grub control. My lesco rep says one thing and the Dept of Agg. says another. One says early May the the other says mid June. I think i will do it june 1st. When do you guys put it out for best results?
I use Merit. Thanks |

Depends on what kind or grub control product. What time is the average hatch of the new grub eggs in your area? I suggest early July for Merit and the imidcloprid products. But for Acelyprin you want to go a bit earlier say, mid June, as it is slow-acting.

The $cott's guy on the radio commercial said to put it down in April.
![]() I always apply it in late June. |

well ur dept of ag is likely basing it upon science and history, while your vendor is basing it on what he has in stock
figure from there |

One thing for certain guys, grubs are going to be bad this season.
Too mild of winter and too much survived in terms of critters. I have been seeing so many ants this season, its not even funny. And I hear the Jap Beetles are migrating north.
