After removing the tank from my Tacoma and driving without them I prefer to have them back...especially when wet.

Two 50 Gallon tanks are the same as Baffle tank. You don't get any where near the slosh of a 100 gallon tank half full. Get a 300 gallon tank half full on a small truck and look out. Even my Cab over with a 300, 100 and 25 gallon tanks will have some sway.

Back in the '80's we converted an 1800gal milk tanker into a tree sprayer truck. At some point we removed the baffles due to cracking. When it was half full and you came to a stop, the first slosh of water would push the truck 3 ft forward, the next would add another foot or two. Yeah, that was fun!

Good point. Is there a way to put a baffle inside the tank? is there a way to put a baffle inside the tank, even if the hatch is rather small?

Ture, I drove a Chevy 1500 pickup at TruGreen for 5 years. It had a steel 300 gallon tank crossways behind the cab. And if you arranged the bags just right...I could get a spreader and about 10 bags of fert on it, too. Tough on brakes, springs and tires. I told the manager, "If you hear four big bangs--its my tires."

i would take those specs with a grain of salt.. i know to many people who bought f150's and f250s accroding to those specs and hooked a trailer to the trk and it sat on the ground.. now you go back to ford and fight with them...


i've fought with ford i have a 06 F350 with the 6.0L warranty time and the fighting will begin.. you can just about name the part on my engine its been replaced.. took it to them 2 summers ago bc it was smoking when i started it up first they told me its a diesel trk its supposed to smoke so i told them excuse me? i have worked in the diesel buiness for over 20yrs(had the local cummings dealer offer me a service mnger job) then they told me humidity was why it was smoking so i started cussing and the severice manger at ford told me i cant talk to him that way so i hung up and drove down there. told them i have never heard such bs in my life I want my trk and my invoice and make sure you put on there humidity is making my trk smoke in the morning...

then a month later it would smoke so bad you couldnt see the trk when you started it up now guess what it was.. egr cooler and head gaskets thats what the 6.0L are known for...

If you read my post I said to install add a leafs. Even an F250 will sag with a 250 skid.

My Tundra would sag too but deal with it pretty well once I buy some Michelin tires rated for the load.

I would not put that big a sprayer in any 1/2 ton truck.
