Carburator linkage help????
Hello i have a 2003 Exmark lazer z. it has a 27hp aircooled Kohler motor. i think the motor is a ch740. it has a keihin carburator.
Im tring to find a picture of the Carbuator Linkage on it. I baught this mower as a parts mower and am rebuilding it. i think someone mixed up the springs and linkages. as the motor does not respond to idling up or down when lever is moved. I have the repair manual but the pictures are very unclear. Thanks Scott |

about pics
Ok theose were somne pics i fount online. they seem to look like how mine is set up. I just got to check that spring that is like a buterfly looking one.
another spring i cant really figure out is from the back of the motor looking forward. on the left side of the carb. there is a spring wraped around a lingage with a U shape eng hanging out. this spring was just hanging loose. i think the loop go"s around the top of the linkage but am unsure. |

another pic.
ok found another pic on e-bay. Arrows indicate the spring i was wondering about. Looks like it wraps around the top of the lingage rod that is on the top. by top arrow. this is what i was unsure of.
And yeah its ok I like talkin to myself... well hopefully this will help out others as well. |

have this manual
Thanks for the link to the service manual. but i already have that. Its not very helpful for the linkage. it shows the 2 rear springs both going to the governer bracket arm. and thats what made me question mine, because they werent. but from the pictures i found, they are different from this manual. one spring go"s one way and the other the other way. and it doesnt even show the spring on the side of the carb.
