Yep, and if your mower is like mine, you'll suddenly see your GPH appear to go really improve compared to what you've been experiencing. When I fill mine like I described before, I can go a lot longer before filling back up.

Changed my oil at 10 hours today with amsoil 4 stroke and EAO filter and installed the stripe kit. Something goofy with the stripe kit. I had to install it backwards with the glossy side toward the wheels.

I have been going 60 instead of the recommended 50 ( i think i will go 75 this time) and the oil still seems to be in much better shape than the exmark dealer recomended oil. As far as the saber oil, I have been running it at 90:1 instead, only because my tank sizes makes it easier

I was just looking at my FX921V manual and it calls for oil change every 100 hours and oil+filter change every 200 hours. 50 hours is way early.

I cut my lawn after installing it. For something cheap and simple it seems to work ok. I will know better next week. My own lawn I think is mostly K31 and it is kind of a coarse stiff blade and doesn't stripe quite as well as some of our customers lawns. I crossed my pattern up today to test it out. My lawn is kind of a pain in the butt to cut different patterns due to the way it is shaped. The previous lco that cut my lawn before we bought the house always cut in the same pattern and rutted the lawn all up so I have been going in the same pattern most of the time because it is very rough going any other way. Well not so much now with the 460 but our older 160 would beat the crap out of me.

Just like I said! Mine was the same way. I don't know how much faster it will wear as a result. Half temped to have them send it back if it wasn't such a hassle.

You leave the rops up? I am about to take mine off completely. I am tired of it hanging up on limbs and either ripping them off or pulling them forward and smacking me in the head.

On a side note. Are you guys getting any large puffs of blue smoke on start up? Mine belched smoke so bad yesterday on one start up the truck was barely visible through the smoke. Doesn't do it every time I start it. Maybe one or two times a day it will smoke when I start it.
