replacing charge pump cover in ZT2800 transaxle

Anyone done this job? I ordered a new charge pump cover (my left side is leaky); will I lose most of the oil in the transaxle when I remove the old cover? And should I have ordered a new o-ring?

Also, the new one that arrived (Hydro Gear part# 53738) does NOT look like the one shown in the HG service manual. I got the part number on the phone w/ HG, supplying my transaxle full ID number. Did anyone else encounter this?

Thanks in advance.

I would drain the fluid completely before removing the old one and I would of went with the new o-ring also.
Not sure on the part, you may have to refer to the manual again and call them to find out what they sent you.
