Exmark 60" Lazer

I have to replace the fuel line to one of the tanks. I got the new line and the fitting that inserts into the bottom of the tank (black grimet, fitting with filter attached).

Problem: i cannot get the fillting through the hole in the bottom of the tank. Anyone have expereince installing this thing?

I assume you must have the fitting in the bushing and are then attempting to push the assembly into the tank. Do it like this.....

Remove the fitting from the rubber bushing.

Force the rubber bushing into the hole in the tank.

Press the fitting (or fuel shut-off) through the hole in the rubber bushing.

Add hose and clamp.

The fitting expands the OD of the bushing against the tank to prevent leaks.

I'm going to try and fix it later today, I'll let you know how it turns out! Thanks again, it makes a lot more sense your way and yes I was trying to force it through.
