If you had one choice, what size deck would you get?

In a perfect world I would get a 72'' so I would be finished faster. But since it's not perfect I have a 33'' 48'' and a 60''.

I have 2 52s and a 61. 52s are nice because the 61 won't fit everywhere

i have 2-60 n 1-48...looking into a 72in for nxt yr. but overall 60in r prob better they will fit in most places and there a decent size.

If I had only ONE, it would be 36". I have a lot of resi with 40" gates.

It seems that a 52"-56" deck size is the "Sweet Spot" for cut quality and typical available horsepower. IMHO a 52" will cut nicer in more situations than a 60" all things being equal. There's not a lot lost from a 60" in productivity but an advantage gained in accessibility with the smaller deck size. Bigger is not always better for a man and his equipment ....
