Getting Mulch in NJ
I'm Looking for a good mulch supplier in the Linden and Clark area.
I don't normally work in this area so I need to get a good contact. I got one supplier there and he's at $34 a yard for black hardwood mulch. Seems a bit high to me. Anyone know any good suppliers? Thanks in advance. MJ

Hi Big... I'm from Morris County NJ. That price sounds a bit high. Just woundering what your other costs on different types of mulch are? Maybe I can help you out after you tell me what your getting it for.

im from essex county. if you want to take the trip out. there is a environmental dump out on route 46 in west paterson. the name of the place is Environmental Renewal. im sure you can get their number and they can fax over their prices. whenever i need mulch, i get it from there. they cost $22/yard and the front loaders they use to pick it up are enormous. so in reality, i pay for a yard but they definitely give me close to 2 if not more. very good deal. i highly recommend

I get a Brownish Black Hardwood which looks really nice for $15 yd up my way.

BIG M i'm in union county. The only place that sells what you're looking for in bulk in Bartells Farm & Gardin Supplies. There # is 732-388-1581. I think the price is around 32/yd, but like i said thats the only place that sells in in bulk.

they have good prices and deliver mulch in bergen county nj and some parts of passaic i think...

Tony from North NJ. I qouted a mulch job in my area, I qoute $100 a yard installed, and the owner purchased the mulch. It was for 10 yards. My price included preping the beds and re-establishing the edge. Was I way out of line with that price. I was beat by someone who quoted $40 per yard installed.

I dont think you're out of line with that price...but it depends on the type of mulch you installed and the difficulty of the job.
that $40 per yard was prob from some idiot mulch or landscape company installing hardwood with no bed or edge work. its not really apples and apples. I used these guys for mulch this year. They did an amazing job and they're located in mahwah nj. http://www.steverazzconstruction.com/mulch/ Cheers!
