Honestly Im sure it was but they are so smooth you dont even notice. On the hills I mow and in thick grass the engine hardly changes rpm. Im very happy with the kawi. Im not really a kohler fan after all the hydraulic lifter problems they had. I have been told kohler has fixed those problems.

No problems to report(knock on wood). Did raise the rear tire pressure to 12 psi from 10 psi, still getting great traction and its easier on the turf. I continue to get great cut quality with OEM blades that I sharpen on a 2 day schedule.

The fit and finish still amazes me everyday! These machines are really art work and put together with great care!

I have to admit. I have not changed or sharpened the blades on mine yet. Still cutting good. Rained on us all morning and it kept cutting like it was dry out!

No $hit! I did not know they hand build every machine from start to finish! I like that! That means they are not cutting jobs and using robots to mass produce these machines.

I have now had more time with my stripe kit installed and Im getting good results...This lawn is mostly weeds...

You know I wasnt going to say it yet but I think you are right. My stripes seem to have gotten better after using the kit for a while. I thought maybe it was my imagination.

I think the x-factor deck stripes so good without the kit, I was expecting this huge difference with the kit. Well its hard to improve something that is already really good.
