Where to bring Grass Clippings on Long Island

I am new this year to the business, I work on the North Shore of Long Island from Wading River to Port Jeff. Where would I be able to bring grass clippings to in this area. I know now that there is a new law with the DEC where a lot places do not take the clippings. But do see a lot of Lawn Companies around me hauling away clippings.

I suspect your land fill will take it and compost it.
We have free standing mulching operations but many are setup the land fill sites. The cities just do not pick it up because it is mixed with household waste. You have to take it to them and pay a fee.

We often drive on to scales coming and going.

I look on the website but it seems screwy. Looks like it is done on Long Island.

This is why you need to mulch.

You work in the town of Brookhaven, so contact the town of Brookhaven.

Islip town will not pickup grass clippings. Home owner's have to bring their yard waste to the town recycling center between the LIRR and Mac Arthur Airport. You weight in then weight out.

Business' have to get a permit and pay a fee.

It has been claimed that if you don't have commercial plates and signs on the car/truck/trailer the weigh both will assume you are a home owner and will not be charged.

The town of Smithtown will take grass clippings from the curb. I don't know what the rules are for LCO's that live and or work in Smithtown.
