Lesco Lockup Extra2 18-0-4

Has anyone ever used this product? If so, what has been your experience? I went to JDL to pick up a granular weed and feed for my lawn and this is what they gave me.

Hmm. I haven't actually looked at the product, but I was assuming it was granulated or pelletized. I applied some of their 18-24-12 starter fertilizer a little over a month ago, and the spreader setting for that product was 15. The recommended setting for the the Lockup with fertilizer is 13. I hope it's not like sand or powder.

Its very fine. Put it down while the grass is wet for best results. I had a lot better weed control w Anderson fert w escalade.

you want it to be fine....so u get better control...my dealer had momentum last yr but it was kind of pricey so they are stocking lockup this year..just make sure u apply when the lawn is wet..does a decent job..we spray the majority of our lawns though...much better results

I guess it's ok to be applying this product this time of year? I guess it works better in the spring or fall. Depending on the weather, I'm hoping to apply this within the next couple of days. I was actually hoping I could apply it today or tomorrow, but they are calling for a 50% chance of rain tomorrow. They recommend to apply when there is no rain in the forecast for 24-48 hours.

I also checked the Lesco spreader settings again, and they say 14 for 150lbs per acre and 15 for 175lbs per acre, which appears to be the recommended range.

Well, I went ahead and put it down this morning. I hope it doesn't kill my lawn, flowers etc. I put a deflector on my Lesco spreader and it seemed to work pretty well at keeping the stuff from broadcasing out the right side of the spreader, but I still think I got a bit in my landscaped/flower/bush areas, but it looked like a very minimal amount.
