oil leaking from engine
I just had oil leaking from behind the exhaust with white smoke. I'm assuming oil is getting by the piston. Is it worth fixing? This is a 21" Toro.

Need more info. How old is the mower? Compression test? Overfilled oil? Is the rest of the mower in good shape?

Sounds odd that its wore out unless it was run low on oil. Usually they don't start smoking out the clear blue, its a progressive thing. What engine do you have?

I know. It's not low on oil. I checked it today. It's still pretty clean from when I changed it in the beginning of the season. I believe it's a Briggs.

Pull the valve cover and see if the drainback is plugged. After that a compression test will tell more.
