I'd like to scrap that door myself... at $10 per 100 lbs. it would buy a nice dinner or two or three!

$14 a 100lbs here. We tore down a bank ontime and it had a stainless steel door like that and it was really hard to get rid of it, non of the junkyards wanted it because it was so thick they'd spend a lot of time and money cutting it to size.

Wonder if that one was all steel or had concrete inside it?

All steel, I balanced the door on the blade and held up the other end with the bucket, and the excavator still stayed on it's toes.

yard art!!! I would keep a SS bank vault door. I brought home two safes last year. One I turned into a chiminea and the other is going to be yard art. The latter dates from the 1920's and is reinforced with concrete and looks cool.
The first one was a drop safe that burned from the inside and outside. It was fun getting the door off with hand tools and a torch.

I'm not a big fan, it gets the job done but I find the bucket curl speed is too slow. If I had a choice I'd be looking at Takeuchi, Deere and Bobcat.

I toyed around with a 305.5D at the dealer I agree with you the curl speed did seem very slow as did the stick cylinder.

I have no idea, it's a good and a bad design in a way, if you get too much garbage inside the jaws and in the throat, you can do some major damage.
I've got another bank to do next week so I will get some more seat time with it.

Bank Vault #2 is currently underway, we ran into a slight "issue", the teaser pic should make you keep guessing.

Once I get all the vids uploaded I'll post up.
