Bobcat Ramsomes Kawasaki or Kohler?
Hi guys. I have a 930000 48" Bobcat with a Kohler engine and just picked up a 930001 48" Bobcat with a Kawasaki. Both run great and are in really good condition. Is there a preference of one over the other? This is for my residential use (3 acres) and I'm planning on giving the one I don't keep to my dad for his residential use. Thanks in advance for any advice!

You can get good and/or bad with any brand, but (and taking what I just said into consideration) I'll take a Kawi every time over a Kohler. I've had many of each, and the Kawi's are just better and seem to turn out more power HP for HP IMO.

It's a Ford v. Chevy thing. I've had great luck with Kohlers but both are good engines, so just pick one. Besides the other one is going to your dad, so it doesn't matter really. I'd give my dad the one I thought was the better of the 2 and be done with it.

Thanks guys
I got great deals on both of these, I got the Kohler for $600 and it came with an older decent running 52" Bunton (gave that to a friend, it currently is waiting for a new spindle but runs great). The Kohler needed a carb, did that myself, runs great now. I found the Kaw for $600 also, came with a Velke. It was sitting for a couple years. I drained the gas and put some carb cleaner in the bowl and let it sit for a minute. Started it up and it runs great too. 48" walk behind is SO much nicer than my 36" John Deere rider.
