Echo SRM-230 trimmer head cover

My echo trimmer head cover broke dead in the middle of the cover where the spring is can I get another cover or do I have to buy the whole speed feed head and how does this happen I had a new worker with me the other day newbie on trimming stringing up the trimmer yesterday and noticed it and I was dumbfounded on how this could happen could he have been bumping it too hard?

I've always bought new ones. Mine wear out from bumping. When I had guy helping me they would run the trimmer on the concrete or tar to get the weeds in the cracks.

Not sure which head you have, but I made the mistake of grabbing a u turn head. I just had it. Loads hard and hand up all the time. I beat the heck out of it so I can get a new one and it won't break.

You will find that very few people on this site like the U-turn head, or any others that are not the Speedfeed. I use both the U-turn and speedfeed, like both of them. I'm not aware of any place you buy individual pieces for the u-turn.

The u turn is a bit hard to load at times but it gets the job done and my 230 came with the u turn head so I really didnt have a reason to change it until now
