Blower rack for Stihl BR600
I am in the market for a blower rack. I have a BR 600 Stihl and an open trailer. The trailer I have has no side rails, it is a flat bed. I am currently using an Extreme Series Trimmer Rack. I want something that will be secure as to not lose my blower while on the highway. Not worried about locking it up. Thanks for all help.

So whats wrong with the extreme rack? Just bolt it to the floor of the trailer and call it done.

If your not worried about locking it up why not just throw it in the back of the truck.

I have that one too and it won't work for him. The TrimmerTrap needs side rails to bolt to and he has none. It was in his post.

I would love to just throw it in the back of my truck but I drive a 2 door Tahoe. I am wanting a rack that I can bolt to the floor. Can't tell alot about the photos of the extreme blower rack. Are the blower racks as good as the trimmer racks?

I used to use the Br rack from trimmer trap when I pulled a open trailer it worked pretty good. A bit of a pain to put the blower on.

How good are you at fabricating metal? If you have the right tools (acetylene torches, welder, hand grinder, bench grinder, drill press and a good set of bits to go along with it, you should be able to make your own so it's custom fit to a open trailer. Might even be able to patent the finished product if you come up with a different better way to mount and secure them.
My pet peeve with the Extreme blower rack is the fact you have to cut part of the blower intake shroud (plastic vented housing) to slide a bar through it. I don't like that idea at all.If I did, I'd already have one. I'll eventually make my own as I have the skillz and tools to do it. My only problem is time. I've gotten so busy that I postponed a scheduled job today just so I could have my first day off in almost a month! Yep, Saturday and Sunday too. Everyday all day. They completely understand and are a customer that has been with me from the start of my business. It's also over an hour away from the place they have me do now. They said that they'll pay the extra in fuel and stuff because they don't want anyone else on the property. So tomorrow I'll be at it again probably for another 3+ weeks straight. On top of that, I signed up two new customers for mowing that are right near other customers. They gross $180 for 2 hours work. They both want their place to look like the ones I cut a few houses down. I told them I can make it happen and gave them a price and they jumped on it. Basically I'm using today to re-schedule my route to compensate for the added time. Sorry to stray away and gloat a little. I'm just happy that I'm growing little by little with no out of pocket expense on advertising. I'm also getting calls for hardscape work that I'm having to turn down so it looks like I might step into hardscaping and get my contractors license and all that stuff. I haven't looked into the costs so I need to do some research and find out the annual expenses to maintain the license and other expenses that carry over with it.
