Perf-aerator

I just completed the purchase of an exmark ride on aerator (sweeeeeeet) and now I just don't have use for my perf-aerator attachement for my walker. I think it was a little over 5 grand when I bought it, and I used it one full season, and a half season. It worked great, but it was slow. I found I used the walk behind ones more. I have a plugr pl-800 and a pl-400 that I may part with too. I bought a turfco turnaer 6 last year and it was awesome too.

I don't want to ship any of it. You will need to come pick it up. I know I will still get offers of so much if I ship it, but I don't have time to strap it up and take it to the terminal, and besides, I want you to look at it and be happy before you leave with it.
That being said, if you want to be real generous, I may consider it, but be aware that it is heavy and will cost a lot to ship.

I think its worth around $3800.00
the PL-800 should be worth about 600 or so (well used....very well used) and I am still not sure if I really want to sell it. I actually used it until the wheels fell off, and then welded the wheels back on and used it some more. Its that good.

Not selling the Turfco turnaer 6.....sorry.

if you change your mind about the turfo 6, let me know. i'm in charlotte and will buy it from you asap.

i have the lawn solutions ride on aerator (which is the same as the exmark). its very nice.

just my opinion, but you seem to waste alot of money buying aerators. that exmark aerator is $9000 at my dealer. thats crazy talk. and if you bought the turfco last year, that was another $3500.

remember....its not what you make, it's what you're worth.

Im an old guy, and inevitably, I end up doing most of the aerations myself. Is aerating an acre with a walk behind slower than with a stand on? Yes. What is my time worth? If it cuts the aeration time in half, then either I don't have the labor cost involved, or I can do twice as many.

I liked the plugrs that I have owned for a long time. So, I thought that if I bought the one that went on the walker, I would save time. It saved some, but not what I felt it should. It may work good for some people, but I have some large yards.

The turfco is good, but it just doesn't have the speed of the stand on aerators. At the end of the day, Im wiped out. Its not all about money at the end of the day. I paid just over $8100 for the exmark, so it was priced right and it should increase my speed over the turfco.

Think of it like a car. You own an old vw bug. It runs, but doesn't have the speed or the nicer things. So you park it and get a toyota. It does ok, but you upgrade to a Lexus. Nicer still, but that corvette calls your name. You still have the bug to take the dogs to the park in, but that vette gets you where you want to go fast.

or.....We can all push mow the lawns, but why?

the turfco is actually on sale right now for $3550 and the chariot is $328
http://www.turfcodirect.com/store/Ae...ator-P3C6.aspx

and i hear you about the aerator speed. i don't even want to use a ryan again.
but i bought my lawn solutions ride on used.

look at it this way....
you aerate 10 yards with your slow walk behinds and every penny you make is profit.

you aerate 10 yards with your exmark....you finish faster, you make the same amount of money BUT 3/4 of your profit goes towards paying the exmark off.

fast work isn't always smart work. but anywho....to each his own.

the lawn solutions/exmark goes about 7 mph. the good thing about ride ons is the "no fatigue" factor.

so do you want to sell me the turfco? send me a pm and lets deal

Turfco is NOT for sale.....The purpose of the ad was the perf-aerator for the Walker. I may sell the Plugrs.

I bought my turfco used.

I got 0 percent financing on the exmark so that helps out a lot.

Are you keeping your isuzu? Or do you think you might sell it in the future?

I just have to ask: what's the difference between my xt5 and the Turner 6? I never saw "reverse" mentioned in the specs. Secondarily, as much as I'd love to serve one of my favorite topdressing communities with aeration I'm afraid that anything but the Exmark stand-on just wont have the penetrating power thru the St. Augustine to pull a decent plug. I'm almost embarrassed by the tiny ones pulled from dense SA yards but what can I do except double & sometimes triple-pass. I just don't want a chunky loan that comes with the Exmark & besides I could have 3 xt5's for that price. I would love to have one though.
