Enclosed if you dont have a shop. Open if you do. The enclosed you will be tracking through it all day long to get equipment out of it, rather than just grabbing a trimmer off the side or your blower. Every time you switch equipment you will have to treck through it. Time waster. If you have a shop go open.

Your truck is gonna get worn out a lot quicker towing around the enclosed.

From here on out, I'm just gonna buy enclosed trailers, for a whole host of reasons, ranging from not having to unload to having a place to go piss without having to drive to the gas station.

I have both. Open trailers are better for cleanups, landscaping jobs etc. Enclosed are great for security and having an on board pisser etc.

I don't have a shop, nor do I unload my open trailer every night. I don't see the point, lock the racks and leave it in the driveway hooked to the truck. My 16' with brakes and gate was $1300, 2000-2500 sounds high. And if you need a 16' open you'll need at least an 18-20' enclosed. If i had an end closed trailer that big I'd never get into some of my accounts and the ass end would be torn to hell from dragging like all the other ones I see here. And open can be used for everything.

Seeing as you have a 1500 series truck, a 24' enclosed trailer would not be a good match for your vehicle. That's just a lot of trailer, especially for a 1/2 truck.
An open trailer would probably be your best bet. The price you stated is about what they sell for in my area, if not a little more. Just make sure it is big enough to hold all the equipment you plan on carrying. My thought is to always add 2' onto the size you think you need. There is no reason to go too big but you always want to make sure you have pleny of room. Go for the open trailer!

The guy that has it is A Lawnsite member I Asked him if I could pull it with my 1500 loaded and he said I should be fine plus the 1500 has the towing package and all the little add ons to it

If he wanted to sell it bad enough he could've said you can pull it with a gocart. I've seen a guy here with a 7x16 enclosed that sags his 1500 silverado pretty bad. I think he only has one super z in it too.
