Hi Everyone,
What style Deck Light Fixture do most of you use on a 4x4 - 6x6 Deck Post. Richie |

depends on the height. If it's below 3' from the deck I use a round, "eye-brow" type light. If it's high up on a tall post for a pergola, I will use an up/ down sconce and increase the wattage if necessary for the situation.

For hand rails and anything waist level I use this. It's a great design that fits nicely on a 4x4 and the wire gets zig-zagged through the middle of the post.

Any side mounted, low profile fixture generally will do a good job. They come in brass, copper, powder coated aluminum( Hadco SRL4B is my favorite for PVC Deck / Fence Posts) and cast bronze. Take your pick. Try to select a fixture that blends into the environment...and where it will be installed. If it's more than 8 fixtures or so, I try to suggest LED fixtures or LED drop in's like Illumicare T-3 or Bi Pins.
