How many times have you been stung?

So the other day I got stung by yellow jackets 2 times in the hand and it hurt like hell. I'm sure you guys have been stung by worse, so how many times have you been stung, and by what type of bee?

Hit an underground yellow jackets nest while pushing a mower. 26 stings. I think the worst part was trying to get all the rest of the SOBs off of me without getting
Stung more.

I hit my head on a wasp nest while Z'ing around. Needless to say I got stuck on the lap bars and freaked out. Came out with 29 stings

This will prolly raise some doubts, but it's straight up fact. Back in '95 when I was still doing carpentry for a living, me and one other guy went to start on a remodel of an old home on a lake here in MI. I had my dalmation with me, and he was tied up near where we were working. It just so happened that the corner where we needed to start at was hiding a huge yellow jacket nest just under the corner of the house. We had dug into, and severely disturbed it (to put it mildly) when we started to level up that corner

Long story short, I ended up with north of 100 stings. I received almost all of them while trying to free my dog. He was panicked and had ran to the end of his tie-out, and had somehow wrapped it around his body then pulled it so tight that I couldn't get him unsnapped. He was being stung to death. He looked like that picture that has been on TV and the net of the old man covered in honey bees. I tried freeing him, but was getting stung so bad that I ran back several feet for a minute to try to escape the bees, but then saw that he was just giving up, so I said the hell with it and went back in. My hands took quite a few stings directly while trying to unsnap the tie-out. I was wearing nothing but socks, tennis shoes, and short shorts (as were the norm back then) since it was in the mid '90's, so I had lots of skin exposed. The vets said that he had way over 300 stings as best as they could count. It came very close to killing him. I felt a little weak for a day or so, but recovered with no lasting side affects. That dog hated bees after that and would snap at any that came near him.

Wow that's a horrible story. Great you did that for your dog. And now i feel a bit ashamed because those 12 stings hurt me. Don't want to think in how much pain you were then.
