Plant trimming question
How should I go about trimming this overgrown thorn plant? Should I just use hand shears and just cut them to a manageable size? any help is much appreciated.

What would be a good size to trim it to? How should I price the job?

I would take it down to about four foot and sell them an eight foot trellis to put behind it. Hour rate.

Now that's funny.
![]() ![]() I don't imagine anyone lives there and it's a foreclosure? I'd cut them at ground level and start them over. |

I don't play around much with that kind of stuff either, cut it all down and haul it away, once over and done.

I would look down to see where that snake is that's waiting on you .

If it's a foreclosure, I'd cut them down to about 3 feet and spray them with round-up. Then in about 3-4 weeks, spray again if they aren't dead.
They are either a large variety of Rose Bush, A native Rose bush which only blooms in the spring, or a multi-floral-rose. Go buy some really thick leather gloves and start hacking away at it. Rose bushes aren't the worst thorny plant out there. My list goes Bar-Berry bushes, Hawthorns, and then weedy Thorny Locust trees. Roses are tame compared to those. ....
