Exmark Lazer 72 w/ 34 Kawi Problems
We have 3 2010 Exmark Lazer Zs running 72'' decks and 34 Kawaski's. Low hours on them - 1100, 950, and 850. All three have had the engines replaced completely under warranty - do not know why exactly - we bought these after they were replaced. Now one of the engines is fouling a plug on the rear cylinder weekly - is anyone else having problems with these engines?
Thanks.

Sounds like it is time to do a leak down and compression test. I haven't run that engine myself but I have to say that I have been unimpressed with the kawi's we have owned over the years. Not a single one has ever went its life without giving us some kinds of problems or blowing up.

Unlike PSC, I love Kawi's. I've never had a bad one yet, and I've owned a bunch of different ones over the years. I have a 22 1/2 year old 14 HP Kawi that still runs strong, and it's been used a TON over the years. Doesn't leak, and doesn't burn oil. Can't say that about Kohlers though. I grew up on Kohlers, but I don't care nearly so much for them anymore. |
