"Grass Flap" OCDC
I just ran across an OCDC I've never seen before. Looks like an advantage it has over some other OCDC's is the fact that it's foot operated. Unlike some of the other blockers, it also opens more than 180 degrees, allowing for right side trimming.
Price may be a little steep though. Doesn't look like much equipment for 240.00. Some of you may have seen it before, but I just ran across it on YT. Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4RqP...eature=related Last edited by StanWilhite; 04-15-2011 at 02:06 AM. Reason: clarity |

Has anyone done a price comparison on all the chute blockers out there?

Looks nice and simple. No electric motor to go bad. Hands are freed up. Just not making them for my mowers yet.

Don't know if you know it are not, but the site now allows you to give them the details of your deck opening (and other facts) so they can build one specifically for your mower (if it's a mower they haven't started making a flap for yet). They are also now using a cable between the foot pedal and the flap....much nicer set up compared to what the old video showed. I'm going to get one of these because I like the idea of using your feet to operate the flap. Just thought I'd let you know. Have a good one! Stan |

Keep us updated on it once you get to use it. I ended up with a power chute and it's ok. My X Factor deck has a lot of blow out from the front when down. The PC works good up and ok all the way down. Hard to adjust in between coming from up to down. Easier to adjust part way open going from closed to open. Can't bump the flap at all in any position but full up or down since the plastic motor gears take the impact. Already replaced on motor. PC has been good as a company. Even warrantied the motor the first time. Bought a back up from NAPA with a one year warranty for about $45. My look at GF for my next unit. |
