Good deal on this Exmark Lazer Z ?

having motor issues with my 07' lazer z, its going to the shop in the morning. i plan to fix mine even if i have to put a new motor.

while searching on craigslist i came upon another lazer z forsale. its a 2007 46" Lazer HP w/ 19hp Kawasaki (exactly same as the mower i have) has 1200hrs on it. guys was asking $2k, i got him to bottom dollar at $1600. figure would make a good spare mower and maybe for parts. guy said the only real issue is the right hydro pump is a lil weak.

what do yall think? here are the pics i took of the mower.

Since you have the exact same mower, you should be able to test it out and compare it to determine the condition. It seems to be a pretty good deal if everything other than the weak pump is good. Could be an adjustment issue with the pump, or it is on the way out. Being that you are going to be using it as a backup/parts mower, I would go for it. Inspect it well, and check for any major leaks.. etc.

Having 2 of The same mowers is really nice.
I have 2 warriors and its the bomb. Same parts...same same.

I'd like to buy a new warrior but they don't make it with the kohler any longer so I wouldn't be able to use the leaf cacther on both.

So it looks like ill be keeping my warriors for a while.

That mower up here in mn would sell for close to 4k. I saw a few sell for 2-3 with blown engines. With paying 1600 and if you put a pump on you still would be ok money wise.

I've been watching CL daily for a particular item, and I see the same or very close to the same mowers as the OP's in the various sub-listings in this state going for the prices Jim posted and agreed to above. Not asking- selling. Not sure why you are having trouble (aside from the great economy we have here), unless the brand new engine deal scares guys away or something. Maybe the area you're in is flooded with used equipment right now. I know that down your way Exmark rules the LC world, and there are a ton of them around that area.

I was thinking the same thing. You could'nt give it away here in southern Indiana with 1200 hours, and definately not with a bad hydro...
